Instead of foliage fanned out behind, a red board is raised and yellow lilies and chrysanthemums are set across it.

A white oval board hangs at the foot, lettered by brush with 「祝賀드립니다」 — our congratulations — and the single character 「祝」, which means to wish well.

Because the backing is a board rather than leaves, the flower colours read more plainly from a distance. Two pink sashes hang either side for the sender's company and name.

Like all congratulatory wreaths in Korea, it is stood at the entrance: in front of a shop on its opening day, or at the door of a wedding hall.

Before you send one

  • What it is A tall standing wreath on a tripod — flowers banked up a frame, with a printed sash down the front. It stands at the entrance where guests pass.
  • The venue decides Some halls only take certain shapes. Give us the venue name and we check it for you — you do not have to ring them yourself.
  • Timing We aim for 30 minutes before the ceremony. The hall's own staff decide where it stands, so it may be put in place a little later.
  • Not too early If it arrives far ahead, it can be cleared away with the wreaths from the ceremony before yours. We time it deliberately.
  • Book the day before Weekend mornings are the busiest of the week for wedding halls.

Questions people ask

What goes on the sash?

Your message and your name, printed exactly as you write it. 祝 結婚 (for the groom's side) and 祝 華婚 (for the bride's) are the conventional phrases, but English is perfectly acceptable.

Do I need to check whether the venue accepts wreaths?

No — tell us the venue name when you order and we confirm it and send what that hall takes. Some halls in Gimhae, for example, only accept a one-tier objet wreath.

When should I order?

For a wedding, the day before is safer. For other occasions we can usually deliver the same day if you order by 6:00 PM Korean time.

Will I know it arrived?

We send you a photograph once it is standing. Ask when you order if you want the venue in the shot.

Can I change or cancel the order?

Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.

Panel Congratulatory Wreath (hudaji)

Instead of green foliage spread behind, a red panel stands at the back with yellow lilies and chrysanthemum arranged over it. A white oval plate below carries 「祝賀드립니다」 in brush lettering. Because the background is a panel rather than leaves, the flower colours read more sharply.

How a Korean congratulatory wreath works

A standing wreath is the usual way to send congratulations to a Korean wedding, grand opening or ceremony. It is delivered to the venue, stood at the entrance where guests pass, and carries two ribbons: one with the occasion phrase and one with your name as the sender. Guests read the ribbons, so the sender name matters as much as the flowers.

For a wedding, order by 6:00 PM KST the day before. Wedding halls run to a tight schedule and we need the lead time to place the wreath before guests arrive. Give the hall name in the address.

We arrange it the same morning with flowers chosen at the Busan flower market before dawn, deliver anywhere in South Korea within three hours, and send you a photograph of the wreath in place once it is delivered.
