An Oriental orchid with golden markings through the leaf.
Water every seven to ten days, enough that it runs out beneath the pot, and keep it in half-sun where the air moves. Wipe the leaves over with a damp cloth from time to time so dust does not settle; the gold shows far better for it.
Oriental orchids are grown in Korea, China and Japan for the markings on their leaves, and are the customary pot to send for an opening, a promotion or a new appointment.
The pot is celadon, the pattern pierced right through the clay, with handles at either side and a raised foot.

Promotions, new posts, formal thanks — the Korean orchid is what people send when the occasion calls for restraint. It flowers for a long time and the foliage stays neat on a desk or in a reception area.
That depends on the season and on the plant. Some go out in flower, some with the spike still rising. If it matters that it arrives in bloom, tell us before you order and we will check what we have that day.

Your message and your name, printed as you write it. Four-character Chinese phrases such as 祝 昇進 are the convention here, but English or Korean is fine — we print exactly what you type.
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
A Korean cymbidium with golden markings through the leaves. Water generously about once every seven to ten days, enough that it runs from the bottom of the pot, and keep it in well-ventilated half sun. Wiping the leaves lightly with a damp cloth so dust does not settle lets the golden marking show more clearly. Planted in a pot pierced with an openwork pattern.
A cymbidium in a ceramic pot is the traditional Korean gift for a promotion, a retirement, a new office or a formal congratulation. It is understood as the dignified choice — restrained rather than showy — and it is usually placed where visitors will see it.
A ribbon carrying your name and the occasion phrase is attached to the pot, so please write the sender name exactly as you want it read.
