An Oncidium, its small yellow flowers clustered at the end of every branch.
The spikes are fine and long and divide into several branches, each ending in a cluster of small yellow flowers. Seen from across a room it does not read as a few large blooms, as most orchids do, but as a drift of yellow. Broad dark green leaves below settle the base.
The white pot is wrapped in yellow paper to match the flowers, and a ribbon reads 祝 昇進 — congratulations on your promotion. It is sent for promotions and inaugurations.

Looking after it
- Light Bright indoors, out of direct sun.
- Water When the moss or bark is dry through, water thoroughly and let it drain.
- Air Somewhere the air moves. Roots suffer in a closed corner.
- Temperature Happiest between 18 and 25°C. Keep it above 10°C in winter.
- After flowering Cut the spent spike away and keep the plant for its leaves.

Will it arrive in flower?
That depends on the season and on the plant. Some go out in flower, some with the spike still rising. If it matters that it arrives in bloom, tell us before you order and we will check what we have that day.
How long do the flowers last?
Indoors at 18–25°C with some air movement, usually a month or two.
