A funeral wreath that carries rice as well as flowers.
A Korean funeral wreath is a tall standing piece set at the entrance to the mourning room, where callers pass it as they arrive. White chrysanthemums are the usual flower. Here they run with yellow lilies in a long vertical band down a tall white board, and a black floral ornament is fixed at the top.
Three 10 kg sacks of rice are stacked across the foot, so the base is heavier than on the 20 kg and 10 kg versions. The rice remains with the family after the funeral.
White sashes with a black border hang either side. We letter them down the length with 「삼가 故人의 冥福을 빕니다」 — respectfully we pray for the peace of the departed — and the sender's company and name, which is how mourners know who sent it.

Before you send one
- When Day one or day two of the funeral. On the morning of the burial the mourning room is cleared, and there is nowhere left to stand a wreath.
- Where The name of the funeral home and the room number is enough. If you only have the notice you were sent, paste it in and we will read it.
- Time Tell us when the mourners are expected and we deliver before then.
- If the room is full When wreaths are already lined up outside, a memorial basket or a two-tier piece is better — both stand inside the room.
- Fresh flowers only Every wreath is made with new flowers. We do not reuse arrangements.

What goes on the sash?
謹弔 with your name, or the name of your company. English is fine too — we print exactly what you write.
How late can I order?
Send it on day one or two of the funeral. If the burial is the next morning and time is short, message us on the live chat first and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.
Korean funerals are unfamiliar to me. What is expected?
A standing wreath at the entrance of the mourning room is the usual form, sent in the name of a person or a company. White chrysanthemums are standard. You do not need to know more than the funeral home and the room number — we handle the rest.
Can I change or cancel the order?
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
Rice Funeral Wreath (30 kg)
This is the largest of the three rice wreaths — 10 kg, 20 kg and 30 kg — and it carries three 10 kg sacks stacked across the base, which gives it visible weight at the bottom. The flowers above are a long vertical line of white chrysanthemum and yellow lilies down a tall white panel, topped with a black floral rosette, and the white ribbons at either side are edged in black and lettered with 「삼가 故人의 冥福을 빕니다」. What is sent here is not only the wreath: when the funeral is over the flowers are cleared away and thirty kilograms of rice stays with the family.
How a Korean funeral wreath works
A standing wreath is the customary way to express condolences at a Korean funeral. It is delivered to the funeral hall and stood in or beside the mourning room, with two ribbons: one carrying the condolence phrase and one carrying your name.
Korean funerals usually run for three days and the mourning room is open around the clock, so same-day delivery matters. Please give the room number — funeral halls hold several rooms at once and the name alone is not enough to find the family.
