Flowers set on a round white base, in two tiers. White chrysanthemum fills an oval closely with three yellow lilies standing vertically at the centre, and the rim carries yellow flowers and dark green foliage alternately. Instead of a wooden tripod it uses a solid base, so it is wide at the bottom. The condolence phrase and the sender’s organisation and name are lettered down the white ribbons at either side.

How a Korean funeral wreath works

A standing wreath is the customary way to express condolences at a Korean funeral. It is delivered to the funeral hall and stood in or beside the mourning room, with two ribbons: one carrying the condolence phrase and one carrying your name.

Korean funerals usually run for three days and the mourning room is open around the clock, so same-day delivery matters. Please give the room number — funeral halls hold several rooms at once and the name alone is not enough to find the family.
