A rubber plant, its thick broad leaves layered in deep green.
It copes with a room that is a little short of light and shrugs off most pests, so there is not much to do beyond keeping off the watering can. Let the surface of the compost dry, then water well.
In Korea it carries the sense of lasting happiness. Planted in a white cylindrical pot, for an office floor or a shop.

Looking after it
- Light Bright indoors, out of direct sun. Scorched leaves do not grow back.
- Water When the top of the soil is dry, water until it runs out of the bottom. Little and often does more harm than good.
- Air Somewhere the air moves. Roots suffer in a closed corner.
- Winter Keep it above 10°C and out of the path of a heater.
- Leaves Wipe the dust off now and then. Clean leaves breathe.

A plant or a wreath for an opening?
A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.
What size should I choose?
Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.
Will I know it arrived?
We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.
Can I change or cancel the order?
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
Rubber Plant — about 1 m with the pot
Thick, broad, dark green leaves grow in layers along the stem. Around 80–100 cm tall, roughly 1 m including the pot. It puts up with a room that is a little short of light and resists pests well, so as long as you do not overwater it, it is not difficult to keep. Water generously when the surface of the soil has dried. Planted in a white cylindrical pot.

Potted foliage plants are the usual gift when a shop, office or clinic opens in Korea. They are placed by the entrance or the reception desk and stay there — the gift is meant to last rather than to be admired for a day.
