A weeping fig, small glossy leaves packed close so the head gathers into a round.
A slender stem stands straight and the branches spread out above it into a ball. The leaf tips fall away a little, which softens the outline.
It is planted in a white pot with vertical fluting, and a saucer comes with it. Foliage plants are the ordinary Korean gift for an opening, and they stay in the shop or the office for years.

Looking after it
- Light Bright indoors, out of direct sun. Scorched leaves do not grow back.
- Water When the top of the soil is dry, water until it runs out of the bottom. Little and often does more harm than good.
- Air Somewhere the air moves. Roots suffer in a closed corner.
- Winter Keep it above 10°C and out of the path of a heater.
- Leaves Wipe the dust off now and then. Clean leaves breathe.

A plant or a wreath for an opening?
A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.
What size should I choose?
Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.
Will I know it arrived?
We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.
Can I change or cancel the order?
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.

Small glossy leaves grow close together so the head gathers into a round. A single slender trunk stands straight with the branches spreading in every direction above it, forming a ball. The leaf tips droop slightly, which softens the whole outline. Planted in a white ribbed pot with a matching saucer.
Light and water
Bright indirect light, and once you have put it somewhere, leave it there — a weeping fig drops leaves when it is moved, when it sits in a draught, or when a cold blast hits it from a door. Water when the top two or three centimetres of soil are dry. New leaves replace the dropped ones once it settles.
Sending a plant in Korea
It is a common opening gift for offices, clinics and restaurants in Korea because a floor-standing tree fills a corner of an entrance hall. Also sent for a promotion or a move to a new office. It is placed by the entrance or the reception desk and stays there — the gift is meant to last rather than to be admired for a day.

Delivered anywhere in South Korea within three hours, and we send you a photograph of the plant in place once it arrives.
