Small leaves crowd above a firm woody trunk on a tree whose Korean name carries the character for treasure.
It is known in Korea as the happy tree, and the written name holds the character bo, meaning treasure. The thick trunk divides above into several branches that open out like an umbrella, and small leaves with toothed edges gather at the end of each. The leaf surface is smooth, so it catches the light of indoor lamps.
Bright indoor light rather than direct sun, and somewhere with air moving. Water generously once the top of the compost has dried out well. Planted in a white cylinder pot that narrows towards the top, the soil finished with black stones.
This is one of the plants Koreans send to a new shop or office, where it stays for years as a fixture of the room. The flower meaning is wealth, good fortune, and someone precious as a jewel.

Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.
We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
The Korean name carries the character for treasure. Small leaves grow abundantly above a firm woody stem. It stands for wealth, fortune and something as precious as a jewel. About 1.5 m including the pot. The leaf surface is smooth, so it catches indoor lighting and shines. It grows better in a bright room than in direct sun and likes air movement; water generously once the surface soil has dried well. Planted in a white cylindrical pot.
Potted foliage plants are the usual gift when a shop, office or clinic opens in Korea. They are placed by the entrance or the reception desk and stay there — the gift is meant to last rather than to be admired for a day.
A ribbon carrying your name and the occasion phrase is attached to the pot.
