Deep green leaves layered one over another into a solid outline.
Compacta is the name used in Korea. Short pointed leaves bunch into rounded heads at the ends of the stems; two thick stems stand side by side and branch near the top. Planted in a white cylinder pot with horizontal ribs.
Half shade does not bother it and it is hardy enough to ask very little. It does not want watering often: let the compost dry right out, then water generously. In soft, indirect light it holds its shape well.
Pots like this go out in Korea as opening presents, to sit on the floor of a shop or an office for years. The flower meaning is prosperity, long life and happy love.

A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.
Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.
We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
Layer upon layer of dark green leaves build a solid, compact silhouette. About 1 m including the pot. It takes partial shade well and is unusually forgiving — it does not need frequent watering. Soak it when the soil has dried right through and keep it in soft light. Planted in a white cylindrical pot.
Potted foliage plants are the usual gift when a shop, office or clinic opens in Korea. They are placed by the entrance or the reception desk and stay there — the gift is meant to last rather than to be admired for a day.
A ribbon carrying your name and the occasion phrase is attached to the pot.
Delivered anywhere in South Korea within three hours, and we send you a photograph of the plant in place once it arrives. If the pot or plant size shown is unavailable on the day, we substitute the closest equivalent and tell you before we deliver.
