A swollen root like a ginseng sits above the compost, with rounded leaves massed over it.
It will put up with part shade, but two or three hours of bright indirect light and a regularly aired room keep the leaves glossy. Water when the surface of the compost has dried right out, once or twice a week.
A few leaves may drop after delivery or a move. Stand it somewhere with air moving and new ones follow. It is happiest between 15 and 25°C.
Pots like this go out in Korea as opening gifts for a desk or a counter, and they stay in place for years rather than being put away.

A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.
Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.
We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
Thick, rounded roots like ginseng stand clear above the soil, with plump little leaves growing abundantly above them. It copes with partial shade, but two or three hours of bright indirect light a day and frequent airing bring a gloss to the leaves. Water generously when the surface soil has dried right through, usually once or twice a week. It may drop a few leaves just after delivery or after being moved; kept somewhere with air movement, new leaves soon follow. It is happiest between 15°C and 25°C.
Potted foliage plants are the usual gift when a shop, office or clinic opens in Korea. They are placed by the entrance or the reception desk and stay there — the gift is meant to last rather than to be admired for a day.
A ribbon carrying your name and the occasion phrase is attached to the pot.
