Long narrow leaves spray out in a bundle from a thick woody trunk.
It takes dryness well, so wait until the compost has dried through rather than watering to a schedule, then water thoroughly in one go. Once a fortnight is about right, and less again through the winter to keep the roots from sitting wet.
Bright indirect light near a window or in a living room suits it. The oldest leaves at the bottom turning brown and dropping is ordinary growth, not a fault. It stands in a white square column pot.
In Korea plants of this sort are sent to mark an opening and stay in the shop or office for years, which is part of why an undemanding one is chosen.

A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.
Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.
We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.
Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
Slim, long leaves come out in bunches from a thick woody stem. It stands dry conditions well, so rather than a fixed schedule it is better to wait until the soil has dried right through and then water generously in one go — about once every two weeks. In winter cut back further to avoid wet roots. It likes bright indirect light by a window or in a living room, and the oldest leaves at the bottom turning brown and dropping is a normal part of its growth.
Potted foliage plants are the usual gift when a shop, office or clinic opens in Korea. They are placed by the entrance or the reception desk and stay there — the gift is meant to last rather than to be admired for a day.
A ribbon carrying your name and the occasion phrase is attached to the pot.
Delivered anywhere in South Korea within three hours, and we send you a photograph of the plant in place once it arrives. If the pot or plant size shown is unavailable on the day, we substitute the closest equivalent and tell you before we deliver.
