An orange jasmine, carrying white flowers from May into early autumn.

The scent is orange blossom and jasmine together, and it is strongest from dusk through the night.

Water when the surface of the compost has dried, enough that it runs from the drainage hole, usually once or twice a week. It is tender: hold the room at 15°C or above in winter and keep it inside rather than beside a draughty window.

In Korea a plant like this goes out as an opening-day gift and stays in the shop or office it was sent to, year after year.

Looking after it

Light Bright indoors, out of direct sun. Scorched leaves do not grow back.

A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.

What size should I choose?

Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.

Will I know it arrived?

We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.

Can I change or cancel the order?

Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.
