A cylindrical snake plant, the straight leaves opening out like a fan.

Lower down at the centre a separate group of short leaves edged in yellow grows on its own, so two forms sit in the one pot. It is planted in a white cylinder and a saucer comes with it.

This one sits on a desk or a counter. In Korea a foliage plant goes as an opening gift and is kept in place for years.

Looking after it

Light Bright indoors, out of direct sun. Scorched leaves do not grow back.
Water When the top of the soil is dry, water until it runs out of the bottom. Little and often does more harm than good.
Air Somewhere the air moves. Roots suffer in a closed corner.
Winter Keep it above 10°C and out of the path of a heater.
Leaves Wipe the dust off now and then. Clean leaves breathe.

Questions people ask

A plant or a wreath for an opening?

A wreath stands outside on the day and announces the opening to everyone passing. A plant stays in the shop afterwards. Many people send a wreath for the day and a plant for the years after.

What size should I choose?

Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.

Will I know it arrived?

We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.

Can I change or cancel the order?

Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.

Sansevieria Cylindrica T — desktop size

Straight cylindrical leaves open out like a fan. Lower down in the middle, a separate cluster of short leaves edged in yellow grows on its own, so two forms sit in one pot. Planted in a white cylindrical pot with a saucer. This is the size that sits on a desk or a counter.

Light and water

It will sit in a bright window or a dim corner equally well. Water it about once a month in summer and less in winter, and let the soil dry out completely in between — almost every one that dies is watered too often, not too little.

Sending a plant in Korea

Sent in Korea for shop and office openings, promotions and new jobs, and often chosen for someone who travels or forgets to water things. The table size sits on the desk itself rather than on the floor.
