A Bengal fig with broad rounded leaves edged in yellow, planted small.

One thick stem stands up and the leaves open out above it on every side. It is planted in a white ceramic pot with a vertical stripe, the soil covered with black stones and moss.

This one sits on a desk or a counter. Foliage plants are the ordinary Korean gift for an opening, and they are kept in the shop or the office for years.

Looking after it

  • Light Bright indoors, out of direct sun. Scorched leaves do not grow back.
  • Water When the top of the soil is dry, water until it runs out of the bottom. Little and often does more harm than good.

What size should I choose?

Decide where it will stand first. We have floor plants for a corner and smaller pots for a counter. Tell us the spot and we will suggest the size.

Will I know it arrived?

We send you a photograph once it is in place. Ask when you order if you want the room in the shot.

Can I change or cancel the order?

Until we start making it up, yes — message us on the live chat with your order number and we will change or cancel it and refund you in full. Once the florist has started, we can no longer change it.

Light and water

Bright indirect light; it will hold on in moderate light but grows leggy. Water when the top three centimetres of soil are dry and let the pot drain fully. Wipe the leaves now and then — they are large and flat, and dust dulls them.
